As the last woman in America walked through the graveyard of people in the empty shells of automobiles that just a few days ago were scuttling around the city like ants in their colony, suddenly the TV in the shop behind her turned on to the news. "There is still no sign of life in America but we will not stop until we have scanned the whole continent. The next stop will be in Las Vegas,
Nevada. They will land in five days so if you're in
America get there as soon as you can, in other news ........." After the presenters words and the gun shots that ended them there was silence again.

Like hell they will' she thought viscously. Last time they announced one of those pick up points I was waiting there for three days and no one came. Then a noise came from behind her as she drew her guns that she found in an old army base, and turned around. The thing came closer to her then shots rang out over the desolate wasteland and a body hit the ground with a thud. She cried when she saw what she had done. She had killed a rescuer someone
trying to help her get out of this place "A fallen angel that's what I am. Not good enough for God's respect and not good enough for Britain's respect." Then bang and the
population dropped from one to zero.
